Chiyogami sheets are silkscreen printed by hand, using pigment based inks and a separate screen for each colour, on machine made paper containing a proportion of kozo fibre. The designs were originally inspired by kimono patterns and the method of printing produces intense colours and resistance to fading. The full sheet size is approx 67 x 98cm.

Katazome-shi designs are stencil-dyed onto handmade paper, based on traditional kimono printing techniques. The pigments absorb into the paper to achieve deep, long-lasting colours. Sheet size approx 67 x 98cm.

Where as Chiyogami designs tend to be based on repeat patterns, the Sogara Yuzen papers are a single image across the full sheet size of approx 67 x 98cm, making superb prints for display.
